- Prepare for installation
- Applicable work health and safety (WHS), legislative and organisational requirements relevant to installing linoleum floor coverings are verified and complied with
- Instructions and/or plans are read and interpreted to identify process required to complete work tasks
- Sub-floor condition is assessed for suitability for installation of linoleum floor coverings
- Suitable adhesives, trims and accessories are selected
- Tools, equipment and materials are selected and checked prior to use to ensure that they are appropriate for the work, serviceable and in a safe condition
- Sequence of work is planned, including the starting point, to ensure efficiency and quality of installation
- Set out materials
- Linoleum to be installed is checked against work order
- Linoleum floor coverings are acclimatised according to manufacturer recommendations
- Linoleum floor coverings for fixing are organised and used in accordance with relevant safety management requirements
- Working lines and starting point are established
- Soft underlay, if required, is cut to specification
- Pre-form fillet is set out, cut and fitted, if required
- Cut materials
- Linoleum floor coverings are laid out to meet directional sequence, pattern match, specification requirements and to minimise waste and joins as appropriate
- Linoleum floor coverings are accurately and clearly marked for cutting
- Linoleum floor coverings are cut to required pattern and shape with minimum waste of materials
- Lay linoleum
- Instructions and sequence for laying and fixing are followed
- Materials for welding and fixing are organised and used in accordance with relevant safety management requirements
- Welding and fixing methods and equipment are used following manufacturer instructions
- Resilient skirting, reducer and edge strips are set-out and installed, as required
- Completed installation is checked for flaws in installation and materials and faults rectified
